Congratulations to Oasis Academy Mayfield School for becoming a BADMINTON England Foundation School.

This award acknowledges, Oasis Academy Mayfield for its consistently high quality provision of badminton.

School Sports Coordinator, Kelly Johnston worked extremely hard and played a key role in helping the Academy to successfully meet a minimum set of standards highlighted by BADMINTON England, designed to recognise the important role of schools within sport.

Schools have a vital role to play in attracting and retaining a young person’s interest in badminton, so it is crucial that their experience is enjoyable, appropriate and progressive.
