Here’s the good news…

Active Southampton has organised an 8 week beginner’s course for adult male and females aged 16 and over.

This 8 week course is aimed at beginners with a focus on the basic aspects of Batting, Bowling and Fielding techniques with the help of a qualified Cricket coach.

The 8 week course starts on Thursday 11th February 2010 from 7pm – 8pm at Redbridge Community School (Cuckmere Lane, Southampton, SO16 9RJ) in the indoor sports hall.
The course costs just £24 for the 8 weeks and must be paid upfront in advance. All equipment will be provided so just bring yourself along.

Southampton Travellers Cricket Club has also agreed to be part of the Active Southampton Return to Cricket programme.  The course is designed to introduce or re-introduce participants into playing regular cricket, regardless of their level of ability.  Therefore, Southampton Travellers CC are offering participants the opportunity to attend their club training nights after each participant has attended the 8 week return to cricket programme  Southampton Travellers CC are a welcoming and sociable club based in the local area, and this 8 week Return to Cricket programme would be an excellent stepping stone to playing regular cricket.  For more information about Southampton Travellers Cricket Club, please visit their website (link below)
