16/2/10 - Active Southampton are offering a 6 week course in indoor rock climbing for adults in Southampton.

This course is aimed at beginners and novice climbers and will give participants a basic introduction to climbing, covering climbing technique, equipment, safety, belaying and knots. Each session will be delivered by a fully qualified wall climbing instructor at the St Marys Leisure Centre climbing wall.

The course will take place on a Monday evening from 17.30 – 18.30 and will start on 12th April for 6 consecutive weeks.

The cost of this course is just £18!

Once you have completed the 6 week course you will be assessed and, if appropriate, signed off as a competent climbing wall user.  You will then be able to use the St Marys climbing wall and should pass any other climbing wall assessment.
